P2W? They told me for 83.5 mm pistons

Piston to wall clearance. That's a spec given by the piston manufacturer as the value will change depending on the material used for the piston.

I'm taking all my stuff to the machine shop today to have everything rechecked.

I'm running .018" Top and .024" on my 2nd ring on the stock bore CP's in my car. 350whp, 22psi.

Engine is back together and in. I'm not getting oil pressure though. Manually primed the pump, have cranked it over a whole bunch and nothing. Pulled the turbo feed line and nothing. Anyone got any ideas? Anything else I should be doing since I reused the oil pump? It is a boundary oil pump. I also installed an oil filter relocation kit..

**UPDATE** Oil filter lines were backwards, I got pressure now.

Was the relief valve clear of debris and free moving? Only other thing I’d do is crank with the plugs out and injectors unplugged.

Glad it was something easy. It's it running now?

Yes, she's alive. Bled the coolant now just got to fill the trans and take her out

levnubhin 05-18-2019 04:04 PM

She's alive, 50 (knocks on wood) trouble free miles so far.

Looks great man I'm glad it's back up and running!

Seems you work fast. Hoping this time all is good.

Looks good! Also to answer a question toward the beginning of the thread, I have ST Pistons and the suggested Wiseco rings. I used the clock diagram from Supertech. The rings should be pretty much 1:1 in terms of design (ring with a gap lol), I wasn't going to bet that on the pistons however and the location of the port holes etc. I figured it was safer to clock to Supertechs specifics.

How is your oil consumption and/or blowby with the .022-.024 lower ring gaps? I am measuring similar 2nd ring gaps and am wondering if it will be OK or if I will have oil/blowby issues.
