Seriously. Either stock or a universal unit from Jegs or Ebay.

Or pay out the ass for this stupid thing: http://www.mossmotors.com/Shop/ViewP...eIndexID=79086

Sorry, this is not Miata-specific, i should have mentioned that in first post. I've been looking at different designs all day until my eyes are bleeding and still haven't come to a conclusion.

I have a Super Rice Weapon R in the MX6, but i've battled a few leak issues with it. (stupid level tube thing.) Don't want to deal with it on this car. Stock isn't an option, and i'm not psyched about paying for the matching Griffin unit to go with the radiator on the car.

I've seen a bunch of universal "tube" units today, found one that was 3" around, 10" long. (Oh baby!) Like these. Anyone have good or bad to say about them?

Wonder if you could stick one of those in the wiper cowl. The only thing I dont like about those is that I cant tell if they fill from the bottom. You want to fill from the bottom to prevent a blowout, and so that it'll drain back into the engine when the car cools.

Yeah they do fill from the bottom... which is why i don't understand how they would fit in a wiper cowl. The cowl on the car i'm working on isn't 10" deep, nor is the Miata. :giggle:

I need to break out the tape measure and see if there's anywhere i've got 10" of easy space. I might be able to just mount it on the front side of the radiator core support.

Ok, makes sense, wasnt sure if they were planning on having you mount them horizontal and had an internal tube for the fill.

No internal tube for fill, but there is one for overflow. I suppose you could mount it on the side, but you'd lose some capacity and probably leak a little due to sloshing.

I have those cans. They are crappy steel not aluminum. They rust inside but look cool. Yay

Mine is mounted at an angle.

Sounds perfect!

This is a car that might see 3,000 miles a year at most, so if i have to replace it yearly, MEH.

Thanks guise. :)
