Thanks for clarifying that.

I only used the laminova for oil heating/cooling, worked well for me at the atmo 200whp level without a 'traditional' air/oil cooler. A turbo, and extreme hot weather, maybe not so effective. The one I used was the middle sized single core one, the double core ones are supposed to be much more effective and may work effectively with more extreme demands - always providing the radiator can handle the rejection of the additional heat.

Having said that, the last time I mentioned my experience I got bagged by the big HP/hot climate guys, but the bottom line no one has put it to the test, so no one really knows if it works in those conditions - not even me lol..

These Laminova units look promising; looking into installing one eventually. Might worth plugging in a couple of miniature sensors to monitor efficiency while at it, I have a couple laying around so why not.

I don't think I've ever had one fail outright. IIRC it's Mishimoto that makes a full silicone kit in the same form as OEM, and those would likely last longer in a track car. I've personally had more trouble with the caps I've used to plug them in the past than I've had with the original hoses.

Caps on what?

I am assuming the caps that people used when they eliminated the oil heater/cooler. So rather than fixing a potential failure point, the created a greater one.
