unrelated related note!
I drove the miata to work today legally in virginia. this is epic for me because I am very lazy and hate making second trips. anyway, it's one step closer to ignition auto tune. curious to see the adaptronic's ability to find MBT and evaluate that same flat top portion of the curve that jason described. |
Well, I think ideally you would let it find MBT and then dial back manually so that you aren't on the ragged edge.

Sorry eric no dyno number for the old motor. Im making 205 tq on m stock 04 motor with 0 issues...as of this moment
|
I've got 263 ft/lbs torque and my rods are fine still. Paul's just about the torque that I have in the Machine and he's run his setup for a while now with no rod issues.

Snowboarder, that dyno looks really lean doesn't it? You're almost 13:1 @ +6000rpms.

^^ Damn, that is an impressive hole.
I bent/destroyed a couple of stock rods, and ventilated the block, but I do not know what my torque output was at the time. No dyno chart. FWIW, it was with a GT2560 at 15-16 psi, AFR 12:1 or maybe a tad richer, no evidence of knock. |
