Seeking your 1:1 fpr advice and experience
Specs on my setup: 90 chassis, 94 block, 99 head and im, 190lph hp pump, m-tuned rail, id1000's
I was planning on using the stock fuel pressure regulator for a stint while I get everything else sorted. Put the seals on the injectors last night, put them in the head, put on the rail with the stock fpr (on the m-tuned adapter), and put the intake manifold on. The intake manifold hits the fpr and I don't feel like dicking it around to make it work so I am trying to decide what adjustable fpr to get. Seeing how the id1000's like pressure I intend to run a bunch of it for better atomization. That being said I have been looking into the: -AEM fpr's because they will let you run as much pressure as the fuel pump will provide -Aeromotive fpr's because it is what most people recommend but they stop at 60-70psi I am trying to keep to some sort of budget and I need a gage for it so no begi priced stuff for me. Input and/or opinions are greatly appreciated! |

I used this one for a few months:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/MAZDA...item3ca252d32d that black adapter fits into the stock rail using an o-ring like the stock one, and allows you to move the fpr whereever you want. I had an issue where my oem fpr hit the IM as well. This was my solution. Worked fine for, but like I said didn't have very many miles on it, maybe 500. Viperormiata has it now. Attachment 189728 |
Looks like a viable solution. Wonder if viperormiata is using it and if so what his impressions are on it...their page has some sweet font!

he is since he's using that IM.
In the least you can buy that adapter and use a fancy FPR. |
I have an adapter for the m-tuned rail to run either type of fpr (stock style or mount anywhere style).
