What was the timing at peak boost?

While the 2554 and log mani is small and restrictive, neither are that small or restrictive that you can't run 7psi with them efficiently.

I had a 2554 on my stock 00 and it made 220 whp at 10 psi.

I ran 6 psi on my 2554 with no knock at 15 degrees timing. Sure it didnt make any power because it would ping but still 15 degrees is far from 6 adc.

depends

Man it feels like pulling teeth talking to some people. No shit it depends on rpm, ambient temp... thats why you list few figures..

Erat 09-29-2012 10:28 PM

At WOT then? Is that what you're asking? I'm going to give you a stupid answer because i feel you, and everyone here asks questions without enough information that it leaves me to fill in the blanks.

Want to see my ignition map?? At 100kpa i'm around 27*ish above 3000rpm.

How much timing do you run at 12psi

Not at 100kpa, at 12 psi which would be 183kpa absolute pressure. If your wastegate is set at 12 psi then yes at wot.

Erat 09-30-2012 09:22 AM

12-11*

I also shoot for 12:1 under boost. Running the emb though, my timing numbers probably won't make much sense to you standalone guys. I have 9.5:1 comp ratio too, but we get 93 octane in Michigan so that probably helps.

From 6k rpm to redline, I start adding timing back in. I can definitely feel a power difference between tuning 11:1 vs 12:1. This is a street car though so it's tuned fairly aggressively because I spend little time in boost.

HOW MUCH TIMING DO YOU RUN AT 12PSI AND 12.2:1 AFR?!?!?!?!?!?! :cjerk:

LMFAO. It is like pulling teeth.

"I own a blue car."
"What shade of blue is it?"
"Can you rephrase the question please?"

How fucking hard was that?

"how much timing do you run" is a stupid question that has a ton of different answers.

I don't know if he meant at idle, or cruise or what the shit it means? We're diagnosing a heat issue, obviously if OP had an issue at WOT all the time i'd take a guess at what the question meant. But he is not, that's why asking what i run at WOT irrelevant.

Unless "how much timing you running" somehow automatically means "@WOT" then i'll say this again. Ask a stupid question, get a stupid answer. Shit happens to much around here.
... Or, ask a simple question get a ridiculous complicated answer.

This thread is going full retard....Yet again.

When someone asks how much timing you're running, if you need clarification that they mean "At peak boost" and not at idle, you are just as fucking stupid as the person phrasing that vague of a question.
This really isn't rocket science.

Erat 09-30-2012 09:06 PM

I'm not good at this, so just dumb it down alright?

triple88a 09-30-2012 11:03 PM

Well in my original question I did ask specifically about 12 psi. Anyhow doesn't matter at this point.
