Default How much Hp is my injector good for?

I have ID1000 with two bosch 044 pumps and an aeromotive regulator vac referenced and set to 70psi base.

How much crank hp should i get out of this systen?

I ask because i am at 60pct duty cycle with much less power than I anticipated. (25psi with my s366)

I don't understand how you're running out of fuel.
I mean ID1k's @ like 90psi should support 500 from what I heard.

http://www.injectordynamics.com/HPCalculator.html

With 90 psi it looks like just over 700

are you running bigger than stock fuel line? 5/16th becomes an issue at some point, esp w/ 2 044s. Why 2 anyway? 4 x 1000cc should easily be fed by one of those right?

Also it's a 2001+ so not manifold pressure referenced, i.e. you need larger than 'normal' injectors to hit the same power levels.

For what its worth, ID1000's don't actually flow 1000cc or something to that effect.

This has been beaten to hell on the subaru forums, and the general consensous is they flow about 100-150cc less than pretty much all the other 1000cc injectors.

My ID1000's on the Forester right now are scaled to 860cc or something like that.
Read up on it, its not a myth.

I guess your only real solution is to step it up to 1600's or 2000's. Not sure anything else will really help if you're already running @ 90psi base

Why are you worried with a 60% duty cycle? Hell, even my junk domestic svo 36's are at 80% or more at WOT.

He's at 25 psi or something.
He plans to go to 50 or some other ungodly pressure level.

At some point here real soon, won't he run into the cylinder heads glass wall, or will psi get around that? I see 50psi not going well, but it'll be fun to watch. Then again, if the 2.3t pinto guys can make 1200+ hp out of a 90hp engine designed in the 60's-70's with a blow thru carb, he should be able to at least hit half that with todays technology.... Right?

All I know is it will be fun to watch.
Min has enough money to not give a damn about petty things like engine blowing up.

lol

Yeah I have the factory fuel line and – six line one for each pump that go to each individual rail. Should be more than enough fuel line.

19psu i thought id was rated low, not high. Bleh thatight explain a lot.

Chpswmnfugfu i will run up to 90pct duty. Mebbe i will see where that puts me for hp
