autos cheat, you leave the throttle open during shifting. plus in sure the turbo setup is not anywhere close to optimal. I could put you in a few +300rwhp turbo miatas that would surprise you how fast they build boost compared to a dinky 1.6L with a subpar setup.

But at any rate, it's a nice car. It only has 25k original miles on it and it's a 1990. A doctor had it and died a while back. He took it to the track a few times a year and that was pretty much it. His wife held on to it for quite a while and finally put it up for sale and my daughter found it on the interwebs. It came with the software and all to tune it but I haven't messed with it really at all. It runs just fine and she's not going to be taking it to the track so unless it starts running rough I'll leave well enough alone on it.

With that kinda milage, you cant argue. I have to agree that the added exterior stuff is a bit much, but hey, that might just be right for a 16 yr old. Hope you and your daughter enjoy it!

Yep, for a 16 yr old it's a hell of a car and they like that kind of stuff. I don't really mind the look of the lights, but if it were mine the body kit would come off with the exception of the spoiler.

Not knowing when the turbo was installed and what the condition of those coolant lines, I also recommend replacing the lines. I replaced mine (after one failed at the track) with -AN fittings and SS braided lines. Used 45 degree fittings to angle the hoses away from the hot side of the turbo.
