Default COP diagram change?

There used to be a resistor in the 1.6 standalone harnesses. When did the recommendation change to jumpering stuff in the diagnostic box?

Easier and not nearly as clean. Jumpering things like the fuel pump and tach in the diagnostic box is just janky, IMO. Think you could provide both methods so people can choose?

It's easy enough to do it in the cop harness, sure.

Well I'm a UK boy so bought my bits ready to copy you guys seeing as we are years behind and someone posted up they had same stuff and got Toyota to make the necessary wiring and it was completely different.
No giant capacitors, no resistor and the tach signal off the COPs is of no use as its diagnostics to Toyota cars. He has a 15psi BEGI setup making 261hp with a LINK G3 doing batch injection and no problems.
I've been so confussled by the outcome I havent finished mine properly yet :S

Good to hear that your friend didn't set his coils up properly.

Steve didnt do his though. A top Toyota specialist did it for him with your wiring diagram and said those things weren't needed. Seeing as they setup race cars like it and have been for a long time I'm inclined to believe them especially given as anything said seems to antagonise an unhelpful comment from you at all times.
