Time to step it up, thoughts?

Hello,
I have been trying to save a Miata from its previous ebay loving po, was full of fail now full of less fail. Soon to be no fail :p

Goal: Build a great street dependable occasional track engine with 300whp ish with a mild tune. I would love to see 50,000 miles+ with a mild tune

Who has more than 20,000 miles on their built motor?
Does it consume a lot of oil?
Do you baby it?
Whats your set up?

Should I really spend the money on Carillo rods and FM pistons?
What are your recommendations?
Could I go with Supertech pistons/rings and mahnley rods with ACL bearing and ARP studs no problem?
Whos turbo mani should I go with>? TSE?FM?BEGI?ABSURDFLOW?FAB9?

*Side note I had a off putting experience with fab9 posted my experience on here and they (fab9) moved my review of them twice, so I am kinda not sure if I could go back to them.

What I have currently: 1.6l turbo 1991 Miata I recently acquired 95' 1.8l engine out of the vehicle that was running great when pulled from a diff Miata.
Supporting mods:
  1. MSPNP2-Professionally tuned from Adrenaline Auto
  2. FM xflow radiator
  3. M-tuned Reroute
  4. FM new intercooler kit
  5. TD04-16T fresh rebuilt and balanced - Still debating if this part will carry over as I dont know if this turbo will run out of breath after 280 to the ground
  6. 2.5 DP
  7. 2.5 FM Dual exhaust
  8. FM Happy meal
  9. FF 6XX Injectors
  10. DW300 Pump
  11. DIY AutoTune EBC
  12. A/C Delete (I know that barely counts)
  13. VLSD- Soon to be 949 os giken or Torsen etc
  14. (Chassis/suspension/brake/Wheel and tire mods as well)

Well your injectors and EBC are good choices. Go back to the drawing board with the rest.

Dude, you have been a member long enough to know how this side of the world works. This is supersuper close to becoming a megafail.

What have you gathered from other builds? 300 on a conservative tune is not cheap. Not cheap at all.

Expect a built engine to last somewhere between 1,000 and 50,000 miles. Seriously. No joke there.

Who has more than 20,000 miles on their built motor? Yes (no track other than the strip)
Does it consume a lot of oil? None at all.
Do you baby it? Absolutely not.
Whats your set up?
Bore .5mm over, ported cylinder head, balance of the rotating assembly. Scat(ebay) rods, supertech pistons, supertech valves, double springs, 99+ retainers, BE oil pump, all ARP. Complete rebuild kit, gaskets, o rings, timing belt ect.
FM log manifold(reliability), 2560 turbo(spool), e85 and a bunch of boost. FM2 clutch. All the supporting mods, fuel, spark, reroute, ect.

Read the build threads.

I am almost identical to that ^^^^ except no E85, and I have an ARTECH manifold.

Only other difference I see, is I am VVT.

MS2 is okay. An NA head will have to breath a lot of boost to great 300, from what I have learned. My 2560 makes 23 max boost, and a flat 19. I don't think it makes 300. Close, bit intake temps are pretty high.

I said megafail, maybe that was a bit much..It was because your post reads like a first time poster. There are just so many threads relating to your exact questions. Sorry.
