Default Zeitronix trouble

My Zeitronix wb started to show leaner values (AFR 19-21). Especially just after start and on idle... The car ran just as normal..

I thought it was because the sensor was getting old and bad so I got A new one....

The problem is still here.... And now I really need a WB I can trust (Just installed MS PNP).

When I hit the throttle and rev the car the AFR drops. But when the engine idle or are beeing held on constant rpm and throttle the AFR slowly rises to 21...

I hace checked all the wires to the zeitronix and my only idea is a small exhaust leak from the two piece Turbo Tony DP. Can this be enought to F**k my AFR up so badly?

Have you tried to add more fuel at idle? Maybe the car is just running really lean then.

Is it possible that the car idles at AFR 21? I thought it was not possible to idle that lean...

When I increased fuel by just adding alot of fuel in the VE table cells that are used around idle it lowered to around 18. But I have a feeling that the car is running rich...

However, the problem started before I installed MS PNP....

It is unlikely it would idle that low and your wideband is just horribly out of calibration.

I have tried to relocate the O2 sensor to straight after the turbo (to eliminate the possible exhaust leak).
I tried to drive for some time to do some logging in Megatune and made some new VE tables in MegaLog. After my last map the car ran realy nice ( I have not pushed it hard though), but now the AFR reads 21 all the time again.

This leads to that I do not thrust my Zeitronix since tha car cant possible idle or run on AFR 21?

Does anyone have any ideas what to do? (Except for dumping the Zeitronix in the sea anb buy the LC-1......)

I realy need a WB I can trust for my mapping....

My Zeitronix has been running accurately for 5 years now. It calibrates upon startup. If you are feeding the output anyplace but the Zeitronx read-out; disconnect that line and see what the Zeitronix reads on its' own.

Do you mean the serial cable? I have a splitter conected so that I can conect both the lcd display and the serial cable to the laptop...

If you really have the WBO2 "straight after the turbo" it is very likely gone due to the extreme temperatures there.. It should be sitting short before the catalytic converter.

Is the Zeitronix as picky about grounds as the LC-1? Maybe your ground connection isn't good.

I know.. .I have only driven a few miles with the sensor by the turbo... In order to eliminate any exhaust leak issues.. My usual position is just before the cat. I have been monitoring the egt all the time the sensor has been located near the turbo... The temp have never been above 800 celcius which is the the limit in the manual...

Did some testing again today... The AFR looks reasonable and I made a new grounding cable from the zeitronix to the point under the brake booster..

But,

After about 30 minutes of logging data, the afr suddenly reads 21 all the f***ing time....
If i disconect the sensor with the engine running, the afr reads 14.7 which i guess is the default output when there are no sensor conected... When I connect the sensos again the AFR slowly rises from 14.7-21... Any Ideas? Sensor has about 25 miles on it....

After some reading on google it looks like there are a lot of unsatisfied owners of the Zeitronix...

I think you got the sensor hot enough to damage it.
