Used M-tuned reroute or wait for Q-max stock?

Haven't quite been able to find a satisfactory answer from searching so I hope I don't offend.

Crux of the question is basically, given all the chatter and demand for the Q-max reroute, is there really a big enough performance difference compared with something like the M-tuned reroute to justify a new kit over a reasonably priced used one?

The Q-Max has one giant benefit to me over the standard spacers. The ease of installation and removal of it with the engine in the car. No clue how it compares in that re-guard to the M-tuned re-route.

I'd like to add, the bleeder valve on the Q-Max is pretty helpful as well.

Yeah definitely not looking to do anything more than the front PPF bolt to install or change thermostats down the line. I suppose the ssemi-remote tstat location is supposed to help in that matter. Thanks for chiming in.

Hadn't even seen that beforehand, thanks. Seems like a huge convenience factor, that might be the selling point for me.

I don't doubt that the Q Max is a better product, but at the end of the day it will work exactly the same as the M-Tuned when installed. I installed my M-Tuned kit with the motor in the car without any major issues. It took me about three hours to install, it's one of those jobs that's more tedious than hard. It seems to be a high quality setup and I've never had an issue with it. Conceptually the air bleed in the Q Max seems like a good idea, but I didn't really have an issue with burping the M-Tuned system either.

What about the max G? As far as the rear housing, looks pretty nice. I am curious about the dual outlet. The I.L motorsports is a similar design as far as the rear housing.

There's also the hawley kit.

This could just be in my instance, but I couldn't get the Qmax reroute to clear the egr tube on my nb2 motor. I ended up just going with an mtuned reroute solution. I may just be a wuss with a hammer though.

Perhaps it's just been what I've read previously, but I've seen a lot of opinions falling against the spacer--type reroutes like the Hawley.

Have you had any issues flushing/burping the cooling system with yours? Slash would you recommend? I'm looking at one for $150 open box.

I've run a BEGI and now the Hawley and had no issues with leaking. The BEGI had a horrible heater core hose barb location which made swapping transmissions in the car impossible without damaging the heater hose. The Hawley has worked great for over a year. The only small issue I have is how close the CLT sensor is to the heater hose. Mine just happened to tighten down at just the wrong spot. I've talked to other owners who haven't had this issue.

The big issue with the old ones is that they were just plain old too thick. The original spacers were designed around a 1.6, and for whatever reason, every reroute of that type that followed was the same. Hawley fixed that with his, as did Skou with his later batches.

The only REAL remaining concerns/issues is 1) increase in failure points/gaskets and 2) on NBs specifically, this arrangement makes CLT sensor grounding issues (gauge only) very common and really annoying.

FUNCTIONALLY, they're fine.

One anecdote from me, since i've now done this on both cars: Clutch job with the QMax reroute is WAY more annoying than with the Skou setup i have on my other car. It sure is way prettier though.

I use the Lisette funnel with the front elevated. No issues.
Revlimiter did a comparison with a bunch of reroutes:
