It looks great! I'm curious why you don't have a oil catch can set up? What PSI are you running at the track?

I'm running a swirl pot on my next car. With a coolant reroute, it will sit on the passenger firewall and will have a radiator top. The water flows in from the back of the engine at the bottom of the swirl pot, and then exits near the top of the pot at a 90 degree angle, aiming at the front of the car.
I made one out of a vertical aluminum overflow tank by adding the larger inflow / outflow tubes. The goal is to get the water to swirl so that air bubbles get pushed to the middle of the can. The top is the highest coolant point. |
Impressive work.
Has anyone ever done this on an NB? Does the NA have a more spacious nose, or is that just an illusion? |
Same amount of room in the NB, just as much cutting required ;p

Yes to do this, you'll have to remove all the metal in the front end, and the crash structure and hood latch. I decided against it once I saw how much cutting and removal was required. But it's an awesome way to get more airflow, but it looks like I'd need to build a tube structure in the front to really make this happen.

I found the NB example in the forum. Mucho work for sure.
