12-ish psi, never saw a need for one.

I'm running a swirl pot on my next car. With a coolant reroute, it will sit on the passenger firewall and will have a radiator top. The water flows in from the back of the engine at the bottom of the swirl pot, and then exits near the top of the pot at a 90 degree angle, aiming at the front of the car.

I made one out of a vertical aluminum overflow tank by adding the larger inflow / outflow tubes.

The goal is to get the water to swirl so that air bubbles get pushed to the middle of the can. The top is the highest coolant point.

Impressive work.

Has anyone ever done this on an NB? Does the NA have a more spacious nose, or is that just an illusion?

Same amount of room in the NB, just as much cutting required ;p

Yes to do this, you'll have to remove all the metal in the front end, and the crash structure and hood latch. I decided against it once I saw how much cutting and removal was required. But it's an awesome way to get more airflow, but it looks like I'd need to build a tube structure in the front to really make this happen.

I found the NB example in the forum. Mucho work for sure.
