Vacuum reading
 

What is considered a "Normal" vacuum reading on the '97 engine? The gauge in my car reads about -12(in/hg?) at idle, my dad's ms6 reads about -22.

You either have a vac. leak or a broken gauge. IIRC, sea level you should be around -20 or so.. At my altitude (7,000+) mine reads -18.

Mine's -20 at about 650 feet above sea level. -12 sounds pretty low unless you live on Mount Everest.

I concur, check for a leak.

-24 here about 1 ft above sea level

20-25 on mine. Try swapping meters between cars (if you can easily do so).
