video of my car running poorly...

cold it wont idle at all really, warm it idles around ~1200rpm.

this video is actually the best it's idled since i finished the swap... i have a nasty exhaust leak that i'm not going to fix. i'm going to install the turbo manifold as soon as i get it running right.

after i goosed the throttle the idle hung around 2500 rpm for about 20 seconds. then i ran out of room on the memory card on the camera...

any ideas why it's idling so bad?

What ECU are you using?

If it's a megasquirt you'll find plenty of help with your idle in the Tuning section.

Stock ecu

more information on what you did to it before you put it in?

DrewLGT 06-10-2010 12:22 PM

The motor was rebuilt with forged rods. All the sensors and wiring are from my 1.6 that ran fine...

I'm going to say a vacuum leak somewhere.

musanovic 06-10-2010 02:01 PM

like he said maybe even injector o ring.

DrewLGT 06-10-2010 02:28 PM

I had a BAD leak at one of the injectors the first time I started the car. I replaced all 4 orings then...

Come to think of it, I believe it idled before I did that....
