What is the best fuel injector cleaner?
Besides actually sending the injectors out to be cleaned, what is the best fuel injector cleaner/additive and why? Techron? Lucas?

hey I wonder if you could drop them into an injector cleaner bath in an ultrasonic cleaner and get excellent results...
btw, heard reports that people like the BG44K stuff. |
Ha. Actually I bought Meg one of those to clean her rings, that is still in the box after several years. I doubt she'd notice.
I already put the 20 gal Techron stuff in my subaru this morning, just wondering what else people think. |

You could just use a 12v batery to open and close them
|
And maybe try to drive the cleaning solution through them backwards.

say a 3000 hz sinewave with a P-P voltage of 12V? |
I've used the Lucas fuel treatment before and it seems to work fine.

seafoam?

Tim,
I was told by my muscle car buddies that Berryman B-12 Chemtool is the best. I used it on my Miata and works great. Just make sure you use up the whole tank of gas in one week. |
12V to open hi impedance injectors, and 3V to open lo impedance ones.
|
I think that additives poured into the tank to clean injectors are snake oil. But that's just me.

Ehhh turns out the cylinder in question only has 85psi compresson. Oil squirted down sparkplug hole doesn't change it and pressurized air into sparkplug seems to be coming out exhaust. Sounds like a dead exhaust valve. This is on my subaru. Still bone stock & 96k miles. :vash:

Sorry to hear about your Subaru. What model is it and is it an 07? The reason I ask is I've heard bad things about the 07's with compression?
