You could email Dick Bipes and ask him.

My guess would be that the only major difference is the color of the case.

I wanted so badly to make a race joke, but there were so many good ones I couldn't decide.

The color of the case indicates who it was originally bought from. Internally, there is no difference. The grey/white case is a BEGI Bipes. The black case is a MX5Mad, BPR, or SOT Bipes unit.
