Wiring Additional Aftermarket Fan
Hey guys,
First post here, the car is a 94 eunos roadster. Originally came with AC that I stripped out a little over a year ago to make space for the intercooler. I got the stock AC fan to fit with a bit of cutting but the clearances didn't inspire confidence so I've opted to replace the fans with 2 of these SPAL 11" Each fan pulls about 9.3A so I can wire one up to the stock Colling fan relay and let the ECU turn it on/off as standard, but is there anyway wire a 2nd relay to the output signal for the cooling fan using the stock AC wiring or am I better off wiring from scratch? I'd also considering putting the 2nd fan on a switch as I have no issues with cooling unless I'm doing 10+ minutes of continuous drifting and red lining the car quite a bit. if anyone knows of any guides for this I'd appreciate it! Thanks |
If it were megasquirt I think you could just reroute the condenser fan relay to a output, then just toggle it off a programmable output. On my car 2C is the condenser fan relay, grounding it will run the AC fan.

Sorry, electrics are something I'm not too great with, but I should be able to get a pin out for my ECU. |

Wouldn't be a simple case of finding the pin that is the trigger from the ECU to the main cooling fan relay and splicing I to that for the AC fan's trigger?

Supply power (to be switched) to the aux fan relay via a (15A) in line fuse taken off the downstream side of the main 80A fuse in the engine compartment fusebox. |

Space is tight there, so just jump it with enough position/slack you don't stress the OEM wiring. Deezum's is the safer advice if you didn't know the wiring capacity or draw requirements. Link to pinout for 94-95 |
