New BP Trigger Wheels - 12, 4, 60-2 tooth configurations for OEM and ATi Dampers!
If you weren't already aware, the ATI dampers will not support the OEM style trigger wheel. We've taken the liberty to custom machine these 4, 12 and 60-2 tooth timing wheels to remain compatible with BOTH dampers. This design allows you to either install directly onto your OEM Mazda damper or snip out the center and install it to your performance ATi Dynamic Damper. Keep in mind, you SAVE on this setup when you purchase an ATi damper and simply add it as an option on the product page HERE. These allow you to properly configure AEM, Haltech, Adaptronic, Megasquirt and many other aftermarket management solutions.

Please inform potential customers that the 12+1 is not supported at all with the Megasquirt, and the 60-2 will only allow batch fuel/wasted spark, and no VVT at all.

Great product idea.
Maybe it's just me but it looks like there needs to be 4 of those snippy parts not 2, for strength. Waitaminit, is most of the wheel sandwiched, or is the outer part free to vibrate? |

the part sandwiched is the inner part, leaving the rest unsupported |
That's a non-issue. The material thickness leaves it solid in the OEM damper configuration. Otherwise it doesn't need to be very structural at all once installed. Hard to imagine that looking at the photo but if it needed to be thicker we would have simply made it thicker.

I assure you if you held the part in your hand you'd change your opinion. We're changing it to 4 because of the odd amount of focus on this topic. We've run this setup for months on an 95 AEM car (12 tooth) - you cannot physically move the piece once it's installed. The reason for reducing the tabs was for ease of installation for our ATi customers but if this adds peace of mind for you guys, I'm happy to make the change. :party:

Hey guys - it's rather simple, for a factory damper you'll use the same position your OE trigger wheel was installed, for the ATI damper you'll trim out the entire center section and install it using the included hardware with the damper.

Hate to be a dork but the 12+1 trigger wheel is as simple as you explained it. That being said, when facing the engine from in front and at TDC, should the two teeth in closest proximity on the trigger wheel be closer to 3 0'clock or 9 o'clock? Thanks!
