Default 2012 Catalog - F'ing awesome!

I just want to give Flyin'Miata some love for their paper catalog.

I normally consider paper catalogs to be a thing of the past and for the most part they are, but I have to respect the time and effort that went into creating this catalog. It isn't all about the parts - the stories and pictures really made it special.

Years ago I used to be a Mopar guy, and to some degree I still am. I remember for years getting "Mopar Performance" catalogs and daydreaming about building a "Super-60" powered Omni GLH. Each year the catalog was dog eared and parts lists created with all the stuff I would need to order once I found my GLH.

I moved on eventually, but your catalog really brought me back to that era. Thanks, and WELL DONE!

Thanks Chibirbian. That's all done in-house in case you couldn't tell.

It's very well done. Whoever puts it together deserves the recognition. (I will have to read it when I get home and see if it's in there)

There's a lot of stuff in there I didn't even know I needed until now. Damn you FM!

They have been producing quality catalogs for years. I remember back around 2003-2005 time frame when I was just starting to look at miatas I got one of their catalogs and it was like Christmas time. I have also looked forward to them since then. The only thing that made me a little sad about this catalog was lack of a westfield page.

We needed the space, unfortunately. Westfields don't sell to Miata owners so much, they sell to Westfield customers. They're also a tiny part of our business. So they had to go for the products that pay the bills and that are of interest to the market that gets the catalog. We have to make these decisions on a regular basis - check those 2003 catalogs and you'll see a different emphasis on what products get space.

Heck, the 1997 issue has a full page of chrome and polished aluminum parts!

Our business sends out physical calendars to our clients every year and I am somewhat surprised by the positive feedback and the number of people that use them.

I feel the same way with the FM catalog: at first blush, it seems a bit anachronistic but it's something that people really do enjoy putting their hands on and leafing through.

I just got mine the other day as well. It's wonderful bathroom material to drool at. I'm sure the sales that this generates is worth far more than the cost of production.

I have no need for catalogs in the meatspace when the internet is so much better at it, but I do have to say it looks very well done Keith.

I use to have one of the old "Paper" printed folded and stapled ones in the "reading room". Come a long way. I still enjoy getting them.
