Diameter of downpipes, price of manifolds.

I cant find either pieces information on your website.

What is the diameter of your downpipes?
What is the price of your manifolds?

The standard downpipes are 2.5" and there's an option for 3" on the NBs. The 3" NA downpipe is coming soon.

Manifolds are $395 without ceramic coating. I don't have a current price for ceramic, we're right in the middle of moving to a new supplier so that's still in flux.

Keith,
Does the cast FM turbine outlet have a standard mating flange like this one from ATP or is it some custom FM-only flange? Just wondering as the FM manifold and turbine outlet might be a cost effective option for those of us that can weld our own downpipes. Thanks.

Keith@FM 02-05-2009 03:40 PM

I suspect it is not a standard flange. We retained that flange design and location from our older kits for compatibility.

However, we should be able to supply stainless flanges that match it if you want. We don't have them on the shelf here (well, not unless you count the ones welded to downpipes!) but Thermal R&D has them. Or, for $219, you get a computer-bent SS downpipe with a lifetime warranty :)

Braineack 02-05-2009 04:28 PM

I was going to say, for the price of their DPs....

I agree, your downpipe is a great deal and in SS it wouldn't really make sense to roll my own, but figured I'd ask.

Good shit.

Thanks.

Any word on the 3" DP availability? Looking to pull the trigger on a DP this week.

Keith@FM 03-17-2009 11:34 AM

For the NA? Definitely not this week. The car's at Thermal getting the prototype done. We had a hard time finding someone with one of the new kits who wanted a free 3" exhaust system, weird.

Thanks - I just wanted to check before I go ahead and order a 2.5" DP for now. I assume once the NA 3" DP is available it will still work with the same cast turbo outlet piece?

Keith@FM 03-18-2009 11:02 AM

Yes, definitely. We're not recasting the outlet.

Update - turns out the prototype is done and on the way here so we can confirm that it fits and do some dyno testing.

Keith@FM 04-16-2009 06:14 PM

"On the way" means different things to different people. It just showed up! Now we have to get it on a car.

Pitt 04-16-2009 06:44 PM

Do you make a downpipe that removes the cat completely and just bolts up to the exhaust?

Keith@FM 04-17-2009 11:23 AM

No. With the exception of our 2.5" test pipe, all of our exhausts use high-flow cats. In the case of the 3" pieces, they're metal core.
