Flyin' Miata is hiring!

Flyin' Miata is looking for a new tech. This is a position with pretty low turnover - in the last 15 years, we've hired four techs. One (Ken Hill) left after about four years due to family reasons, the others are still here.

This is not a mechanic position, but someone to deal with customers and support our products. Basically, much of what I do every day, as do Brandon and Jeremy. There will likely be some development work as well - the techs are the ones who make many of the decisions as to what we develop, what form it takes and decide when it's ready to release. We've each got our own strengths, so we each concentrate on different areas.

If you're interested, please contact Teri Cardell at teri@flyinmiata.com or 970 464 5600.

Sounds like a sweet gig. If only I was in the area!

I should point out that every tech who's worked here moved to Colorado for the job. To get someone of the quality we need, we have to spread our net wide.

I find coming home to this very odd. Just got home from a cross country road trip and the wife has finally come to the dark side. Sheis now begging me to move out of the south. May give you a ring. Doubt I fully qualify. Unless a taste for stout beer is a perk.

Salary range? Realistically...

I would love a job like this. Good luck with finding someone to bring on.

I honestly feel like a decent fit for this job, and I'm strongly looking for a new job. It's a pitty the wife and I are sorta tied to oregon. Then again, she's a nurse, jobs are everywhere.

GJT is a pretty nice place -- especially if you're outdoorsy. But, yeah, it's hard for women to move. They have to setup all their social support networks wherever they go. Usually takes my wife a couple of years to really settle in to a new place. For guys . . . a couple of beers and a few turns on the wrench and you're in.

That's been my experience anyway. We've moved a lot. I wouldn't fear it.

Not to derail this thread, but what the hell are you talking about?

curly 07-21-2015 12:01 PM

Women and relocating for a job on CO, duh. Forgive Y8s, he's been out of the Miata game for a while.

Keith@FM 07-21-2015 01:03 PM

GJT is the airport code for Grand Junction, for those who don't know.

I'll let Teri give the salary range, but nobody here is getting rich. If you're looking for a six figure salary, you won't get it.

Chooofoojoo 07-21-2015 03:11 PM

Do it @curly. I need a CSTG in colorado.

Also. This is potentially relevant to my interests.

curly 07-22-2015 11:45 AM

I'd absolutely love to, and quite honestly Teri's reply was temping, but it's a salary I could (and should) be making here, where I don't have to cut all connections and rip up my family. Despite it's dream job lure.

Ted75zcar 07-22-2015 11:55 AM

Dude, if I was 60 I would be all over this. Oh, and Colorado is BOMB!
