New adjustable FM V-Maxx
 

That's right, the crazy popular FM V-Maxx coilovers are now available as an adjustable setup. The V-Maxx XXtreme lets you adjust the shock damping to your preference, while also meeting your daily minimum number of sequential Xs.

Because we know a lot of people like to run these on track, we've specified two different spring sets. You can choose between the Sport package (the same 391/258 lb springs used on the standard V-Maxx, which I like to call the V-Maxx Classic) and the Track Pack with 505/336 lb rates at no extra charge. For those who cannot decide, we will make extra spring sets available so you can have both. They all use a 112 lb secondary spring and use our bumpstops.

The price is $200 more than the non-adjustable V-Maxx, which means that the (deep breath here) FM V-Maxx XXtreme Stage 2 Track Pack for the NB comes with adjustable damping, stiff springs and adjustable FM sways for $949.

Due to demand, we're only offering these in an NB fitment for the time being. If you have an NA, you can get our NB conversion kit for an extra $100.

The first production sets are on the same boat as the rest of our V-Maxx shipment. We don't have a solid ETA, but they're on the way and I'm expecting them within a month. We figured we'd release the news early in case anyone wanted to change their order.

Which cars did the proto testing? What was the internal driver feedback on the stiffer springs and the adjustments to damping. Like my v-maxx "classic", but would prefer to have the adjustable damping to soften up daily driving a bit.

The big question is: will they ever be in stock?

I know I tried getting the vmaxx twice before I gave up and got something else. It made me sad as I love giving my $$ to FM.

Igor was used as the test vehicle, as it's a good, powerful NB chassis. The stiffer springs were immediately apparent, but everyone was impressed by how well they rode given the rates. Jeremy didn't know the car was running the Track Pack spring set when he took it out for tuning and noticed the firmer ride immediately :) Igor will be on the Track Pack setup at the Miatas at MRLS event next month.

Will they ever be in stock? Yes. Although if demand for these is as strong as for the others, we may outstrip the production capabilities of the factory again. Trust me, we'd rather have them in stock than on eternal backorder. The first shipment of these is on the way.

If you want a set of V-Maxxes, I recommend you order them before they get in to stock. That will reserve you a set so we'll be able to ship them as soon as they arrive, and you'll get them as early as possible. We don't charge your card until they get sent out to you, so there's no financial penalty for doing this. If you change your mind or cancel before the parts come in to stock, there's no penalty there. It's a much better solution than waiting until the parts arrive, hoping you hear about them in time and then getting disappointed.

Very cool. I am digging the 1/2" shorter bodies in the back too. This seems like a great intro coilover that is well thought out. I will be interested to see how well the valving pairs with the new spring rates. Kudos as always FM.

Keith, will the non-adjustable NB version be in stock soon as well, or are they not a part of the new shipment coming in?

Yes, there are 84 non-adjustable NB kits in this shipment.
