Lightbulb Group buy on the new ES HyperFlex Master Kit for 90-97 Miata's

Group buy on the new ES HyperFlex Master Kit for 90-97 Miatas
  • Price - $209 shipped within the Continental US
  • Minimum participation level - 10 people
  • End date - March 2, midnight
  • Payment method - To be determined
  • Ship date - 2 to 3 weeks after 10 orders are placed
  • Vendor - http://www.lightningmotorsports.com
  • GB Coordinator - Chriscar sr20de@optonline.net
According to the ES rep for Lightning, this is a new part number and ES hasn't shipped any yet. The only place on the web that's listing this part is energysuspensionparts.com and they're selling it at $238 shipped. No matter where you buy this kit, it's a special order item and ES will not manufacture it until the order is placed. In other words, they don't keep these buggers on the shelf, and nobody is stocking them, at least not yet.

About me - Since I've only been here about 2 months, not all of you know who I am. I've been in the Nissan B13 camp for a long time, and recently bought a Miata. I've been a moderator at SR20forum.com for longer than I can even remember, and am currently one of two administrators on the site. I have run multiple group buys on SR20Forum, including ones with Hyperco where I was instrumental in getting them to custom manufacture high rate conventional type springs for the Nissan B13 & B14 chassis, resulting in sales in excess of $100,000 dollars over the course of 5 years and multiple group buys, and every single sale went through me. My eBay rating is 100%, and am one of the highest rated sellers at SR20forum. I like long walks on the beach......

Here's the thread that kicked this group deal off.

For this price I am totally in. Wasn't planning on doing bushings for another year or so but for ~half the price of the super pros....

I don't know, but they don't list any of the components as being compatible with the 98 and up.

See here - http://www.energysuspensionparts.com....asp?cat=10239

Oh, if we get a choice in color, I'll take black instead of red.

Yeah, I thought of that, and looked to see if it would be cheaper to buy the F&R control arm kits & diff kit, but it still comes out to more money than the group buy price for the complete kit. Heck, sell the F&R sway bar bushings for $30 or so to someone still running stock bars.

What sway bar bushings are you using now?

err the RB bar came with mounts and urethane bushings.

but since I have an 01, I'll wait to see how much is compatible.

I'm in, can you get an estimate on how much they charge for shipping to Canada (t5z-0a6)?

From Flyin Miata's website on their Super Pro bushings
High quality performance urethane bushing set from Australia. Different durometers are used for different bushings, just like Mazda did. This gives the same handling balance as stock but with more precision. Complete kit includes for all control arms, front and rear. Sway bar bushings not included. These bushings will affect ride quality - the suspension will move more freely, but sharp impacts will be transmitted more strongly than before.

Fits all Miatas.
Hmm, so maybe these will too?

Emilio lists the SuperPro bushings as 90-05 as well. Hopefully someone will chime in and confirm what some of us are hoping.

Hmmm, my car needs these desperately (165k miles and original bushings)...I'll check to see if I can scrape the money together.

Good job Chris.

Would you mind contacting Lightning to see if they'd offer a shipping discount on 3 sets shipped to the same address? Thx--I figure myself, Ben, and Rob could save a few bucks if they also want in...
