Wink 99 Short Block with 120K miles $100

Engine came out of a 99 Miata with 120k miles on it. It overheated due to a failed thermostat. The engine ran, but had very low compression. It did not consume coolant. I will separate the head and block is for sale for $100. It comes with block, oil pan, pistons, and crankshaft.

what about the head? i'm looking for the head. really, i'm just looking for the camshafts and cam cover, and could care less about the rest of the head.

Yeah makes sense. I'll give you $250 for it, as is, right now.
And if not, that's cool too.

back from vacation! I'll probably need it shipped or at least held til I can pick it up (??) or some other arrangement.

someone help me out here: the 99 had a thurst bearing issue but this wont matter after a rebuild, right?

yes, when you rebuild you (or your assembler) will use a correct bearing. I believe that there is also a way to shim the original bearing (which can be done with the motor in car by dropping the subframe and oil pan) for motors that aren't getting pulled and built.

yo you got dibs on it. I'm just in the process or swap out the motor and transfering all these damn turbo stuff. It's probably going to be this weekend before I get to the motor, but I will try to do it before that.
