I need a tranny asap. If anyone knows anything please help asap, finals on monday.

Quite possibly the worst thing that could happen on a roadtrip.

last time i was at the u-pull-it on main st, they had 2 miatas, both had the trans, both were 1.8 cars.

what happened to make you think the trans went?

Long story short we were doing the timing belt. Went up there to do it with a friend.

Was supposed to be pretty quick and easy but in all reality it turned out to be a nightmare. After an hour breaking bolts attempting to get the front seal, we just said screw it. We put the car back together, pull it out of the garage.

Now the car won't come out of gear. The shifter is in the 5th possition but the tranny is in reverse. Won't budge. We took the tranny out and somehow it had "popped" out of the shift linkage. Don't ask me how, its a mystery. We magically fixed it and popped it back in place.

Put the car back together and its about 10pm. I have to get home, but now because of our rush, timing is retarded and I'm running a super high idle.bad news bears. Worst roadtrip ever.

well st augustine

the plans was to take my gf to st augustine for the day to visit, and have my car serviced by a friend while I was there. Needless to say it went WAY wrong.
