Default tuning electronic boost control

It was suggested to me that in order to properly tune my EBC I need to know what my true spool looks like. That means pulling the actuator hose and logging a boost run, relying on the MAP Limit to do it's job and cut fuel/spark when boost gets "there". This made sense to me. That way I'd know when EBC settings were hampering spool. This is more directed at closed loop since it's more complex- more settings. Thoughts?

fill the target table completely to 100% DC.

turn your overboost 1-2 psi above your target goal.

go log a 4th gear pull.

note the rpm you reach your target.

subtract about 200rpm from that number and make that your second column at 100%.

first column should be 100-500rpm at 100%.

third column will be the rpm you hit your target.

now from the third column on, drop the DC% to 10%. log another 4th gear pull.

keep increase the numbers 10% or so until you reach your target and maintain it.

if you notice a drop in boost, pinpoint the rpm and add a few % in that column.

after a few quick pulls, you should be golden.
