Default 2 holes, Part 2

OK guys, I finally got around to pulling my engine and bringing it to the machine shop.
Here is the culprit. It was pretty obvious what happened in there.

Head is OK thank god. a couple bent valves and giudes. thats it.. Enjoy
Oh, and if there werent holes in the block, it would have been fine to use again..

I believe that's one of the nuts for the rod cap.

1st pic is the rod bolt and nut...

I was on HTM (not gripping) and she just blew the **** up..

NA the engine had a little over a year of minimal daily driving and at least 1 driiift event a month.
I boosted it in Jan of 08. Running between 14.5-18.5 PSI of boost. At hi boost it had 267 whp and 257 wftlbs. At low, I dont know. It still hauled *** though.
Went through 2 trans in 1 season. SO I typically ran low boost because of that.
I was at low boost when the engine ****.
All stock miata parts. GTR block and pistons, stock miata rods,bearing, bolts..

All in All, I think it held up well for the beating it took..

Mine was professionally assmbled by a machinist here in town with a serious brag book.

It was my fault for funding all stock hardware

I was poor. Now I am more poor LOL!!

Husler, that pic is sweet though.. It just looks like its ready to take an *** kicking..
