Default Metalcat - 200cell/in - 2.5"

I bought this from deliverator back when I really thought I was going to use it. I got an awesome deal on it too, so I will take offers.

There really isn't a better flowing one on the market without spending big bucks.

New in box.

$140 shipped anywhere in continental US. I will ship it to (1) particular person in Canada for the same price.

Pics below.

It is this exact piece though:

Metal Cat 2.5" Inlet/Outlet Stainless Steel Catalytic Converter : JC Whitney: Auto Parts & Accessories

Open to all trades...

but all I really need right now are race harnesses and seats (hell to ship), or 1.8L brake pads if you happen to have any sitting around

It was drawn using paint.net with laptop mousepad fyi (openoffice FTW).

I just took a real picture, but am on the mac at home (no card reader). Will be in College Station in 2 hours, and will use laptop to put up real pic.

I did STEAL this thing, so while I'd like to get some money back on it, I will pass a deal on to a fellow forum member.

I bought it when I was still N/A and running around with a horrible sounding gutted cat. I also wanted to pass emissions at the time, but am pretty sure the interior is coming out of this car and it's going to be for "recreational use."

Your $119 store-brand 300 cell cat is crap. Also, you are trying to hinder his sale or you wouldn't be posting that garbage in his thread- and this forum has rules against thread crapping.

The kind of cat gospeed is selling is pretty much the best kind you can get short of ultra spendy 100 cell/inch ones.

If you actually read what I wrote it points out that I am not trying to hinder his sale at all. If it came across that way then I am sorry for that. And that cat is not mine as you pointed out. I simply came across it while browsing the net and thought maybe you guys who know the differences between good quality and bad quality cat’s will maybe point it out in this thread if it’s worth buying. I guess it is not since you pointed out that its crap. I don’t even run a cat so I could care less. I was just trying to be helpful to other who may be looking for one. To gospeed81, again I’m sorry if in any way I hurt you sale but that was not my intent at all. I buy and sell stuff from forum readers all the time.

200cell>300cell

For those that don't know...less cells/inch means less flow restriction. If, in the same given area, you have a smaller number of cells, this means the cell size is much larger, in this case 1/200 of a square inch. It's costly to make these and still have enough effective surface area for the catalyst reaction.

metalcat>most others

This is a very good brand, and their CFM rating is valid, unlike most of the cheaper knock-off brands.

I would appreciate any further thread crappers doing their research before making uneducated insinuations regarding parts for sale by forum members.

EDIT: Judging by your sig line I'm sure you do a lot of business on here...I'm sure they're's cheaper stuff out there, I'm trying to hook someone up with something quality. These retail for $200...I'm just passing along a great deal I got. If it had gotten to my door a week earlier I would have installed it, but as time passed I changed my plans, including taking care of safety equipment first.

Price drop

Will ship for $120

I will trade for any Magnaflow 3" muffler that will fit a Miata, NB shock mounts, stainless brakes lines, some decent (HPS, Axxis Ultimate) front and rear 1.8L pads, or a set of harnesses.

Thanks for looking.

You need to track down some cute scantily clad college girl to pose with your cat and it will sell in no time! If not, at least we got to see a scantily clad college girl. It's a win win.

On a serious note, I am doing a brake swap and should have a decent set of pads available.
