I think its too busy. Some of those colors just clash, OMG!
Seriously though, I don't like the mix of old and new looks, and I already hate the iPhone by itself, so this makes it twice as bad.

Yeah, the myPhone is sort of the turd in that particular punchbowl. If that were my dash (and I had a hell of a lot of time on my hands to write and debug code) I think I'd have gone with one of the black-and-orange gas plasma displays that were popular for quite a while on compaq portables back in the 80s. Anybody remember those things? Terrible refresh rate, but great contrast even by today's standards.
That, or if there's enough depth behind the dash, a CRT. If I were ever to remove the HVAC system from my car completely, that's be what I'd have.

Not sure what car it is, though I massaged the image a bit to get an idea of what it looks like during the daylight hours.
Actually, I'm thinking an even better replacement for the myPhone would be the DSKY assembly from an Apollo Guidance Computer:

I almost forgot! I've been perusing the mp3car.com forum quite a lot lately, and one of the guys here has done a rather nice in-dash install on his DMC-12. In particular, his screen-saver cracks me up!
