I've got alot of spare 1.8 engine parts I need to get rid of in the next few weeks. Here are the first few items:

1.8 tan top injectors - 3 sets of 4

1st set from my 142,000 mile engine. Worked great last month - SOLD

2nd set from spare used engine. No guarantees, but should work fine - $30 shipped

3rd set - no pic, but look the same as the two above. From 140,000 Miata that was rearended a few months back - $30 shipped

2 complete 1.8 3-wire coilpacks. One from a 96. One from a 97 Miata - $45 shipped each
The 96 coilpack worked great NA, but I had a miss I would get around 5psi of boost after turbocharging. Replaced with COPs. Should work great below 5psi or for an NA car.
The 97 coilpack is from a 140,000 Miata that was rearended a few months back. Should work fine.


1.8 BP engine from 93 Escort with 72k miles - $175 picked up from Jax, Fl. 32259
Bought from used engine supplier 3 weeks ago to go in my 96, but then I came across a great deal on a 97 engine complete that I bought instead so this needs to go. I tore it down to the longblock to swap over my Miata stuff, but I've got all the Escort bits in a container if you want them - no extra charge.








1.8 BP engine from my 96 Miata with 142,000 miles - $200 picked up from Jax, Fl. 32259 Started to smoke from the tailpipe because of oil in cylinders 2 or 3. Compression still tests great so it's probably the oil control rings. Might be an easy fix, might not. Includes intake manifold, exhaust manifold, brand new water pump/timing belt (400 miles), black VHT wrinkle valve cover, tapped oil pan. No injectors, no flywheel, no coils, but I've got those separate if you want them. Buy this and the Escort engine for $350and have everything you need for a 1.8 swap.










I'll try and post pics soon. All prices OBO. If nobody wants the engines, I will certainly sell parts off them, but I want to try and get rid of the entire engines first.

Finally got around to posting some pics. I've got my replacement engine coming today(that will make three sitting in the garage) so somebody come get these!

Tan tops are the stock injectors in the 1.8 Miatas. They are 265cc. They are a common upgrade for the 1.6 engines that come with 230cc injectors. Read this:

are any of the seals or the caps cracked or broken on the $35 ones?

 

No. All seals are there and not broken. I've got a third set of injectors that I just got my new engine (I've got RX7 460cc injectors I will be using).

I can't edit my original post, but I really want to get the Escort BP engine out of my garage so I'll gladly take $125 for it. It's the same block and head as the 1.8 Miata so if you need an extra engine, come and get it!

I've still got the Miata BP as well, but I wouldn't mind keeping it around until I get my new engine in this weekend to make sure I don't need anything off of it. After that I'll probably drop the price on it as well.

Still got the Miata engine too. I swapped the black cam cover over to my new engine so it will come with a standard dirty grey one. I'm looking to get $175 for it picked up, but I'm negotiable.

Still got this 1.8 BP from the Escort GT. Nobody wants it for $100? It should be good to go as is, but it would also be a great starting point for a rebuild if you want to save yourself some downtime!
