Default Miata Challenge: FINAL ROUND OF 2009 (12/20/2009 @ Buttonwillow)

This is the final round of the MC 2009 series and will be held at a Socal favorite, Buttonwillow Raceway. As usual, podium finishers (1st-3rd in each class) will receive Speedventure credits for future events as prizes.
  • 1st: $40
  • 2nd: $30
  • 3rd: $20

Since this is the season finale, so trophies and prizes will be given out as well to season points leaders in each class. Speedventures and 949Racing are teaming up to give the following during the awards ceremony at the end of the day, so be sure to stick around:
  • 1st: $200 SV credit AND 1 set of 949Racing 6UL wheels (Gen 2)
  • 2nd: $100 SV credit AND choice of either a $200 949Racing voucher towards $1000+ purchase or $100 gift certificate
  • 3rd: $50 SV credit AND choice of either $100 949Racing voucher towards $700+ purchase or $50 gift certificate

And right now, Street Class is completely wide open for taking the 2009 season win. Only 3.5 points separates 1st through 3rd place in season points, with many people just within reach to steal the championship away if the Street class points leader don't show up.

Meanwhile, Leonard Patterson has clinched Mod class for the season, but don't let that stop you Mod class guys from fighting for 2nd and 3rd.

Unlimited class is neck-and-neck for the season win between the top two competitors. Two points (after 4 dropped results) separate them for the Unlimited title.

This will be a nice and exciting ending for 2009 and the next season for 2010 is being planned and scheduled, so definitely stay tuned.

Here's my friend's shot of my car after I went nose first into the dirt in the Lost Hills. I heard a *thunk* and was wondering if my splitter survived. Next lap around (no meatball or black flag) my car is pushing at Riverside exit and I see my splitter sitting on the side of the track after the hill.

This is why wood works for splitters. The actual wooden mushroom completely survived being ripped off the car and being run over as well. It needs a new aluminum frame and it'll be good as new.

Mike, lemme know when you want me to drop that off.
