IGN-1A race coils - as used on our turbo Miata
We've been running these on our turbo Miata for over a year, and now we've ordered a batch of them for sale to the general public. These have their own internal ignition module, and work great with the MSPNP line. Check them out here:

These IGN-1As are the same coils used in the Huber Mustang - a four banger that's running over 40 psi of boost, making four digit horsepower numbers. They switched to these after an MSD DIS-2 wasn't powerful enough. I think it's safe to say they're a good bit of a step up from OEM Toyota coils.

We were kicking around the idea of building a coil testing rig. It would be interesting to see exact numbers, but these coils are straight up nasty. Nearly 3ms spark duration (3 times stock and Toyo coils). Only 2.5 ms dwell period, so it's ok to run them up to high rpms wasted spark, unlike the LSx coils.
Basically, if you're looking for an ignition solution, this is the one to go for.

Yes, you would need 4, and I would recommend running new power and ground connections. Easy thing to do would be to use the existing 12V at the factory coil harness to drive a relay, and grab a good 12V source straight from under the fuse box by the passenger fender.
I will try to get a pic of how Jerry's red miata is set up tomorrow. He has them on a bracket on the passenger side, but there's a lot of ways you could mount them. I was imagining fabbing up a hold down on the cam cover for them, and then 4 short wires (coil near plug like LSx).

Can't grab a good picture of how the miata is set up right now, but here's a pic of the 1000 hp 2.7l Mustang that also runs them. That car is boosting 40+ psi and runs 8.90 quarters.

Our own Miata is using a custom set of Magnacor wires. The coils have HEI type terminals on them.

Holy crap! A 1000hp Lima thats still SOHC?!
What would you use for plug wires on these, though? They look about the same physical size as a standard M1 coil pack, but you need twice as many so I'm assuming they won't fit in the OE Location?

Jerry's Miata has them bolted on the pass fender by the main fuse box and has a set of Magnacore plug wires.
His car puked the timing belt, and we're waiting on parts and an opportunity to get it bolted back up. Once the engine is finished up, I'll grab pics of it. Promise. I'll also get plug wire measurements.
