Why do some users have warnings/alerts/whatevers under their names?

Inquiring minds want to know. Are they the number they have left before permabanz or how many they've got?

Only people with warnings have tags. It's to help avoid dealing with scanners, and tells other what kind of ish isn't allowed here.

I got mine for politely explaining why lime green wheels = rice. That apparently isn't tolerated in an intro thread....even if the person "intro-ing" themselves has ~70 posts already.

Questions like "What are alerts, warning, and warning levels" make me weep for your children. How can you not use simple 2nd grade vocabulary. "What does it mean when someone has a warning?" OMFG, I HAVE NO CLUE!!!! HOW WILL WE EVER KNOW?!?!?!?!
