Default Can we enable tapatalk?

Enables us to browse the forum from native apps on our iPhones/Android devices. Supposedly there is a free feature the admin can just turn on? CR.net has it now but that does me zero good since I never browse there...

What phone do you have? My iPhone does great in the standard format. the search is completely mobilized, so clicking on any menu pulls up an iphone menu of all my options, and it's already such a simple website, how's tapatalk going to make it better? Hell it costs $2.99 if you want to post or PM. Put a link or your inbox and advanced search in your favorites and you'll be gtg.

Not sure what this does. My droid functions around the forum just fine.

I did not realize tapatalk costed money to post or PM.

My phone works pretty much fine in standard webpage format but tapatalk is just smoother from what i've seen. My only issue with using the forum in standard format on my phone is that my keyboard is laggy when typing anything in a browser window (such as PMs or anything on a forum). No big deal though

The phone I have (T Mobile MyTouch) is just a little underpowered compared to the newer android phones so I thought tapatalk might make it smoover.

I just got tapatalk, and I'm not really impressed. I haven't used it too much, but it doesn't seem like it's very good. I can't find a search feature, and it doesn't do very well truncating titles of threads.

Site works fine in Safari for me. Over 90% of my posts are from my iPhone nowadays.

I use tapatalk all the time for other forums I visit.
I find forum surfing is faster on tapatalk than on safari. Plus I am not constantly having to zoom in and out like I do in safari.

Could the features of tapatalk be realised by just making a m.miataturbo.net optimized site?

For me, A lurking master, the only thing that'd reaaaally help for browsing on my phone would be to make clicking the search button take you straight to the advanced search page and clicking on the down arrow brought up the dropdown box. When the ads are loaded trying to click advanced search causes and accidental click on the advertisements or whatever is below the search bar for that matter. annoying yes, game breaker, no

Of all the forums I visit, this is the only one not yet on tapatalk.

Great app. I have it on my jailbroken ipod touch and I actually paid for it on my Android phone. Much more user friendly on the Droid, I think.

Well, I solved the issue for myself. I bought an iPad, so now I can browse websites in their native size and layout.

iPad is nice. I'm amazed at how well the browser renders pages. But if I'm sitting in a boring meeting, I've got my phone and not my ipad. So, I surf mnet and CR.

FAQ from Forum Owner:
Q: How much does it cost?
A: As a forum owner you are free to activate Tapatalk in your forum, and you are free to remove/deactivate it anytime you want to. A free version of the app is also available. There is a paid version at US$2.99 for iPhone, Android, Nokia (BlackBerry version is in beta and is currently free).

Q: Which forum system does it currently support?
A: Currently phpBB3 3.0.x, vBulletin 3.7.x/3.8.x/4.0.x, Invision Power Board (IPB) 3.0.x and Simple Machine Forum (SMF) 1.1.x/2.0.x are supported.

Q: I have multiple forums, Can I activate more than one forum?
A: Yes, you can and additional forums are free also.

Q: What's the point of this app if my members can access my site with mobile skin at no cost?
A: We received a lot of feedback from users that they want a dedicated app on their smartphone. Most users are contented with the mobile skin or a standard web browser but some of them would appreciate a full-on native app on their phone. For example Tapatalk app allows user to upload photo directly from their phone to your forum as an image attachment. We are also rolling out Push Notification support so it helps your members to stay in touch with your forums while on-the-go.

This site needs RSS feeds. Like all the other forums. I just add the RSS feeds to my google reader then on my phone go to google.com/reader

I just got an iphone and have come to the forum daily on it since. I do agree that zooming in and zooming out is a little tedious, but what can you expect from such a small screen. I don't plan on living off the phone, but when I'm out and about its nice to **** around on.

I saw something about a tapatalk app for forums and wondered why we didnt have it. But if it doesn't really solve anything, or make anything better, then whats the point.

I would try it if it was activated I guess, but I'm fine with things the way they are via safari.

I'm happy with the way even my stock Blackberry browser handles this forum. Other sites can be a problem but it handles this one like a dream. Free beta for Blackberry, woot.
