<p>I suppose Joe has a point. They could add a thanks button. Then, it's just like facebook! You hit "thanks" for something you like, and report the post if someone is a dipshit. Easy peasy. I think the mods would appreciate a more direct form of informing them of undesireables.</p><p> </p>

"Thanks" without some form of negative is facebook crap. No way to tell people to knock off the asshattery. It's a very important part of this forum, because it tells you who to take advice from, and who to take with a grain of salt, and who is just full of ****.
And, quite frankly it's a way to give recognition to a particularly good post, whether it is because of humor, good info or just a well made statement. It adds to the sense of community.
