Default "Remember Me" gone?

It is a pain that I used to be able to log in in the morning and come back to the site whenever I wanted. Now I don't stay logged in. Is there a workaround?

I'm staying logged in. Is this a mobile issue or desktop/laptop issue?

I know the quick reply box is gone on my phone, but there on my desktop. And occasionally I still get sent to the mobile site on my phone, but it stays logged in for the most part.

PC Issue, only on our site. Other sites keep me logged in until I close Firefox.

No issues here with staying logged in

My phone did that once but you can click an arrow in the upper right corner of where the quick reply box should have been and it will reappear.

Seems like the problem was how I entered the site. I had a bookmark that I used that took me to "subscriptions" for years.

Evidently a site change caused a sign-in page that did not place cookies to appear. Changing the bookmark to the main page gets me to the original sign-in page and it works.

Oops, 'nother old dog here. I was just about to post the same thing. MiataTurbo no longer remembers me, but all my other forums do. So I think something changed at your end, not mine. But I'll screw with my bookmark setup and see if that fixes it.

EDIT -- nope...no joy. Every time I turn off the browser I need to log back in to MiataTurbo. None of a dozen other forums behave like that. I have not dumped or turned off cookies recently.

Perhaps you clicked the thing where the browser should not remember your password for this site?

The contrary actually. Once I put in my username, the password populates. So the browser remembers. But the site doesn't. This is one of the few forum templates that doesn't have a "remember me" box to check.

Must be seeing the same sign-in screen I saw. Change your bookmark to

https://www.miataturbo.net/

and you will see the "remember me"

Seems that if you try to enter via the back door (no pun intended), the new software throws up a temporary sign in screen.

That was odd. I do use a specific address to open direct to my subscribed threads. And it stopped remembering my login. So I logged in as suggested in the previous post which worked. And now my old address works again, so I threw out the new bookmark.

I guess you just have to go thru the process occasionally. My daily address has login capability, but no "remember me" box. The basic address does have a remember me box. Maybe once a year I have to reset that box.
