Default Why does the search function suck so bad?

Tried to find my own thread today. Gave up after 10 attempts. When I can't find my own thread using 3/4 of the title AND my name in the box on the right, the function is broken.

can't blame noobs much anymore if I can't even find my own threads.

Do an advanced search, put your name in the top right box, and select threads started by user. I just tried it to make sure it works.

I don't even bother with the in-site search.

Google; "search text" site:www.miataturbo.net is your friend

Also, for your specific case, click on your name in upper right corner of screen. It will open your page. Then click on “Staristics”. You now have a choice to see all threads you have started.

Yeah. I've done that. Only problem is when you are looking for an old thread. Searching through 5 pages for a thread just seems so 2017.

edit: Nope, build thread does not show up In my "threads started by ryansmoneypit ". But I can manually dig it out of the build thread, thread. Stupid.

I think tbis may actually be a bug. The same thing happens to me. I have a build thread for my 97, if you manually go back to find it, it is there, I can not find it at all from the search menu. I'll reach out to IB and let them know.
