How do I get avatar pics up?
So can’t stand being a vanilla nobody. And I’m too inept and brain damaged to figure out how to insert a picture for my avatar. Help me be the last airbender? |
I do believe you become a proud supporter of our lovely cat filled corner of the internet. :likecat:

But it is far from the worst I've ever seen. Examples: |
Throw the Star Wars Holiday Special in there as well

Until now. So, thanks for that. |
I never watched the blue alien movie but I knew there was one and it was called Avatar. I choose to not watch a lot of movies because I hate Hollywood and don't like to support them financially. When I do make the mistake of going to see a movie it seems like they are preaching political stuff to me and or the flyover country people are portrayed in a very stereotypical fashion.
The last movie I was dragged to consisted of an hour and a half of the blond headed kid from the Titanic movie breathing hard in close up. Oh, and there was a CGI bear that did not look or move like a bear. Now that I mention it I didn't see the Titanic movie either. It kind of spoils it when you know how it ends. |
Plus while you're there, they scan your brain and collect your thoughts for future targeted advertising.

I've been watching the series MARS of late. Nat Geo, two seasons thus far. It's a pretty good show, which is produced in a very interesting way. It's about 50% dramatic fiction and 50% actual documentary about the present-day. The two are intermingled (eg: you'll have 10 minutes of drama, then 5 minutes of documentary, then more drama, etc) and the two are thematically tied together. The fictional part is damned good, and has a tone which is extremely enthusiastic and optimistic about space travel. In Season 2, the documentary part, by contrast, has gotten extremely pro-fear and anti-progress. So, when the Drama part starts to show that commercial businesses are starting to show interest in Martian development, the documentary part talks about how oil & gas drilling has totally ruined the earth, how progress must be stopped, etc. It's a weird contrast. |
