Scroll to the VERY bottom of the page, where it has a drop down menu saying "MT 2011". Change that to "Miata Turbo old school".

I never liked the new skin, hurt my eyes.

They need to make revenue just like I did. They have to follow the same TOS with Google as the next guy.

Perhaps they will uncensor the site, I don't know what they will do on that front but if they did they would be opening up a bag of you know what ;)

I can only speculate about who you are talking about, but IB is good in the sense they wont jack this place up with ads. They have a good running track record of being very different from every other forum company out there.

I personally like the censorship. It allows those of us at work to look at the forums with less risk.

Yea, IB wont be changing staff or doing anything drastic. I am going away and in my place they sit. It was good for me to refocus and it was a good fit since I knew they wouldn't turn this place upside down (which would be putting it right side up  ).

IB has a good track record, check out their sites.

Not in the least.

I do not like the way IB does business. For starters, they'll usually double the ad rates. That makes it impossible for a small advertiser like 949 Racing and SuperMiata to support as many forums as we do. IB comes in, I let my sponsorship lapse and go elsewhere. There will be larger advertisers taking up the slack. Advertisers that are in no way involved in the community but are able to pay the price and only too happy to see their scrappy little competitors (me) go away.

IB is a huge and highly profitable company. They are also growing fast, gobbling up forums at a startling rate. Turns out there are lots of advertisers willing to pay whatever rates they ask.

You notice this board is using vBulletin 3.73? That's about a 4 year old version. IB bought the previously open source vBulletin software and promptly started charging for updates and tech support. Cruise the web and see how many forums are still on 3.84, including miata.net.

The forum members, contributors are cogs in a wheel, need see nothing and are not really affected. There is a lot more to IB than most forum users are aware of. They are not a well loved company.

So yes, my prepaid annual sponsorship will run out and both 949 Racing and SuperMiata will cease to support this board. I will no longer visit nor post on this board.

I harbor no ill will towards those who profit from the sale of this property. Business is business and everyone has to do what they feel is right for their them.

Ill keep it short and sweet since I am on daddy duty. :p

From what I have gotten in email and verbally, rates of current vendors don't increase just because they took over.
The best person to discuss it with is IB Nolan as you can pm him here:
https://www.miataturbo.net/members/ib-nolan-26157/

I didn't upgrade VB because of custom dev and designs, not because of cost.

This is a very niche market and if the users have treated you well I am not sure why you would leave if the rates are the same.

Rick

::shudder::

I heard from a guy over on LS1tech that IB isn't bad. He had a couple little things that changed, but neither of them really seemed like things we would have issues with here. I have hopes that the new owners will bring good things, and use their powers (and capital) for good, not evil.

Good mornings are ouchy. Me no likey.

Squat is yay of course.

Front squat is even more yay.

Power clean is awesome as fu (I did a 205lb squat clean this week) but is pretty advanced. Scott/Matt, I recommend you get a trainer before starting to go heavy on this.

Add reverse hypers and powercleans solely to reduce the potetial for injury. Add good mornings for extreme spinae errector strength (and weird looks). I recently added SLSquats to the list to strengthen my knees (needs a wider seat, again). You need to work delts, back day should be your longest, hardest workout, and you need to start doing grip work now...get back to me when you have a 16.5" forearm.

Did you get off the gloves yet or are you still being a woman?

Do you do pistols? SLS looks pretty good without the learning curve of pistols.

One can still hope there's a little guy at the end of every corporation right?

I will continue to support MT because MT is a valuable resource that I depend on for information and you cawksmokers make life interesting. I would be seriously pissed if a bunch of you nancys bailed out. When I first got here they were still talking about how bad Philip was and this place seemed a fair bit smaller. Rick was careful about who he went with and I understand that he didn't want to but needed to. Just hang on and see how it works out.

It'll go on, maybe with minor changes and a few people crying about change, but it will go on. Of the few big names buying up these small forums, IB seems to be the best, so I thank Rick for being kind to us in that regard. Hopefully Emilio is wrong and IB will keep the rates for sponsors the same. Its nice having smaller companies like his and Trackspeed around. I will continue to pay my union dues if these companies are able to stay with the forum and its not littered with other ads. If they have to leave and I start seeing mass amounts of google generated ads taking their place, I'm done paying. If the ads get annoying, I'm staying in M.net. Since I'm just a normal sheeply Joe on here, I'm sure many others feel the same. Again, I don't feel this will happen unless we let it.

I am desperately trying to keep this as a minimum, though I may dip below it in "no refined carb April".

Not straight protein but about as good as bread gets:

http://www.foodforlife.com/procart_c...0160029_md.jpg

I think 4g protien, 3g (15% RDA) fiber a slice. About as good as bread gets.

You could also make a seitan loaf. This is made from what glueten. Pure protien, and if made in the right manner, it's pretty darn soft.
