Jump to New button missing?
 

Noticed today on sub'd threads with new posts that the button for "jump to new" that shoots you down to the first unread post was MIA. Is it just me, or is it an issue for anyone else? I know my work filters can do some funny things, but this is the only forum I'm having issues with. This is in Chrome, not mobile. Thanks.

i can't seem to replicate this, what browser and OS? are you on a VPN? Any plugin/script blockers running?

Latest Chrome, Windows 10, yes to VPN (work VPN), only extensions that I can see running are Adobe and MyApps secure sign-in.

I'm also getting the problem on Edge, Windows 11, no blockers. Doesn't happen on every thread... about 1/3.

Also the "new posts" button often gives me the "you must wait" message even though it's the first time I clicked it far outside the time limit window.

Mine is missing in every thread, but I do also get the "you must wait" with the New Posts button well outside of the 5 second window.

I have been getting this for 2 days, three different computers.

Lots of “wait 5 seconds” as soon as I open the site.

+1 on "wait 5 seconds" after going to new posts tab. Happening on rx7club.com too.

please tell us your OS and browser. It seems to be anything based on Chromium, we think.

I am on chrome, win10 with ublock origin and haven't had any issues with 'new posts' search, "Go to first new post" on unread threads or "View first unread" inside of open theads. Just a datapoint.


Edit- And I visit and check for updates a few times a day.

I've been able to re-create the "new posts" issue on:

Samsung A53 phone + chrome
Win11 + chrome (Chrome is up to date Version 129.0.6668.101 (Official Build) (64-bit))
Ubuntu 22 + chromium

FWIW, the button made a return for me last evening. Yesterday it was missing for me in both Chrome and Edge browsers, reappeared in one thread so I assumed it to be a fluke, but was there for me in the thread I most frequent this morning.

It's still randomly missing for me. Had the same problem on another forum, but they seem to have fixed it.

if you disable your Chromium based browsers' prefetch/preload settings, the issues will also resolve completely.
