in-line URL to Youtube video breaks formatting
I expect the forum not to process a link I place in [URL] tags.
In thread preview, if I link to a youtube vid in-line, this doesnt happen, but when I post the thread it processes the video and creates a youtube window, breaking formatting. For example: turns into Screenshot of preview edit: I think this is a VBulletin issue, as this also happened in my same post on CR.net. Also, I would not expect the item inside the [code] tag to be interpreted - I would expect it to be left as plaintext (but that's less of an issue). edit2: and the same video in [YT] tags doesnt work for me at all  |

I've always used the YT tags thusly:
https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...1&d=1427473287 And it imbeds thusly: I feel like I missed something here, like I didn't understand the question. I should probably be ignored. :bang: Related: I really want one of your "180mph" speedos :P |
you can either paste the full URL without tags.
or just the video ID with [YT] tags. example usages: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=21jbID9pqnc [yt]21jbID9pqnc[/yt] if you want to display the URL without embedding the video, then use [noparse] tags, or don't copy the https:// same thing goes for a few other types of embeds: like gifv movies. |
Okay, got it. Thanks for the explanation.
Why does preview display differently? Okay, removing the https: fixes the inline linking. test test test |
