Images have automatically been re-hosted for years.

To bypass this, you add a ? to the end of the URL. So if your image URL is https://i.imgur.com/5LHUhXP.png, you'd enter the following:

[attach]232789[/attach]

What I meant is that by hosting myself (even if it re-hosts), rather than depending on image storage on the forum, I still have copies of them even if the IB database explodes.

I've seen someone as well as you, and I'm betting it was Savington, talking about hosing images instead of the forum.

I kind of laughed a bit inside, because it seemed the forum went ahead and used itself anyway.

Now I know...
