The new "notifications" dropdown menu is total junk.

I don't care how many social groups I've been invited to. I want to see how many new PMs I have with one glance, and access them with one click.

Ditch that shit.

Ben 05-14-2008 05:41 PM

mine works fine. just click on "your notifications" instead of the arrow.

Atlanta93LE 05-14-2008 05:45 PM

Hm, I can't even find what you're talking about.

Savington 05-14-2008 06:44 PM

Ben, if I click "your notifications", it dumps me into a dropdown menu. It's just a feature for having the feature's sake; it serves no useful purpose.

And I can't seem to accept the single friend request I have anyway. (only one request  )

Ben 05-14-2008 07:01 PM

aha, i see. i right click on "your notifications" and open in new tab.

y8s 05-14-2008 10:42 PM

I dont see this notifications thing. did I not pay up or what.

cjernigan 05-14-2008 10:49 PM

I had it, now its gone.

I have a theory.
I bet the dropmenu only shows up if you have a new notification or new PM.
To test this i PM'd y8s.

y8s 05-14-2008 11:16 PM

yup. soon as i read my pm, it went back to "private messages"

which is contextually pretty lame indeed.

cjernigan 05-14-2008 11:33 PM

I'm bummed it was cool until i realized it went away. Oh well, more reason to be excited about PMs.
Thanks for being the labrat y8s.
