Non Miata build threads welcome? Seperate section?
So as we are all gearheads and everyone enjoys a good project, I was wondering if it would be appropriate to start another section that would welcome non Miatas?

I wish we had a build thread section that catered to non-miatas. Stuff like Stein's weird Peugeot or SAAB or whatever, Vlads various impulse buys, my Triumph, Ian's Lowcost... I know other people have other projects as well.

I just put mine in Build Threads. #yoloswag

:giggle: and here I thought you guys were sick of my various impulse buys

Six has the 1968 GTO and 1969 Sprite, Hornet has his land yacht, etc. I'd love to live vicariously through other peoples failures ;) |
Shit, i'm going to put the Escort in there once i find enough fucks to give about starting work on it again.

Just throw them in the normal build thread section.

Somebody rang my bell and this isn't worth a new thread:
I'm planning on eventually switching the 68 Pontiac over to fuel injection and twin turbos with a megasquirt, when I get enough motivation. It already has 6.7 liters of displacement and made 500 ft. lbs at 2800 rpm, but will need turbos to breathe well up high. It only made 330whp on a Mustang dyno at 4400 rpm where it was suffering with detonation due to a poorly set up mechanical advance distributor (MS needed). It also had a far too restrictive exhaust for the amount of cubic inches. The headers and exhausts would be fine for a small block but aren't enough for a big block. I'll fix all of that with a turbo setup. I dream about it occasionally. That is all. |
Most of the forums I'm part of have a non (insert that particular forums car of choice) project section. I think it would be a nice place to show some of the other projects that our members have
