Why is the search function only giving me threads from the last ~24 hours?

Default Why is the search function only giving me threads from the last ~24 hours?
I'm pretty sure I'm clicking the 'Search' button correctly. There are no other operations involved in this action, correct?

Yeah I just searched "turbo" and only 40 result threads lol. it might be some sort of result cap at 40..but that is mega fail as well.

it's broken right now. IB is aware. appears like someone cleared the cache or something.
