WTF just happened?
Logged in this morning, as usual. Only I had to log in, cookies lost?
I go to 'new posts', as usual. click on a few, thay all load at P1 post1. Click 'go to first unread', stays at Post1.
Don't do this to me ...
On a W10 PC, running overnight.

Ok panic over, an hour and another cup of coffee and it seems fixed, Reloaded site (the same way), and all works as before.
Unclear if the bug was this end or the site, but nothing changed here
