My gtx 460 fermi should run it fine on my 32', hopefully my e6750 clocked @ 3.4ghz (for 4 years tehe) will hold out. Thinking about picking up 8gb of ddr3 memory cause..... well it's only $45 muthafuckn' bucks!

I haven't restarted since installing the game and graphics drivers upgrade, but the game wants you to use a beta version of Nvidia's graphics driver for my GTX460. Since installing the beta embedded non-HD youtube videos look fucked up:

Hopefully that'll be cured after a reboot..

the oc favs right now are i7 2600k and phenom2 x6 for the amd camp. Don't expect to get much more clockspeed than what you already have. But as fireindc mentioned, clockspeeds aren't everything.

I'd probably still wait on bulldozer release before pulling the trigger on anything.

Ya I think I can just get a new GPU and be done with it

I hope my older i7 and HD5870 can handle this on fairly decent settings.

How is le beta guise?

green_comet 10-01-2011 02:56 AM

Good fun, I have been playing it a little. Still pretty buggy, but I was expecting that. It's similar to Bad Company 2 gameplay wise but with a few good changes, I can't say much about it that's bad, but then I have never played a Battlefield game and not enjoyed it.

I like how you can momentarily blind people using flashlights and lasers, it's makes it a little more interesting. Also stabbing takes a bit longer now which is good, it's not one of those quick slice kills like in COD.

FRT_Fun 10-01-2011 03:07 AM

Okay, just played a few beta games. I'm sold. Pre-ordered, and ready to do this shit!! Honestly I feel like there is a huge improvement. I always felt detached with BF games. But this somehow makes me feel like when I'm shooting, my bullets are actually going down range. It's natural, and a lot like real combat in my opinion (which should count for something since I've been in contact with enemy too many times)

Does anyone play BF: 1942 anymore? I used to love me some El Alamein.

Bryce 10-02-2011 02:16 AM

Did someone say 1942?

pusha 10-02-2011 02:19 AM

Probably the most epic video-gaming moment that can be fit into 20 seconds.

Bryce 10-02-2011 04:07 AM

Late night BF3 crew signing in. Lol the flashlight glare!

Bryce 10-02-2011 06:03 AM

You make a killing points-wise if you run around reviving people in the subway. One round I had 3 kills and was the top score of both teams. Glitches are abound but not as bad as Red Orchestra 2 beta was. I think the most annoying one is the OMG MY RETINAS when somebody points a flashlight anywhere near you. Next slightly less annoying one is the occasional gun won't aim down the sights until you cycle weapons.
