When was the last time any of the games you are lamenting were produced?

blaen99 Apr 11, 2013 08:17 PM

IIRC, 2012. With a game slated to be out in 2013/2014.

Is EA a bad thing?

(He asks honestly, with no prejudice.)

It's horrendous news.

Read up on the complete balls up they made of SimCity 2013. Online only, stated that it required online to compute...stuff, except it doesn't, at all.

It's also broken at the core of the game.

EA is where good, proven, cash cow video game franchises go to die...

As someone who works in testing for a software company, that's my favorite line.

"It's not a bug, it's a feature!"

as someone who may have supported LA games, the list of A list bugs that most games go out with... :ugh2:

People get mad at buggy releases, but EVERY release has bugs in it. A release is the time when the devs get to lazy to fix any more bugs so they decide the customers can :dealwithit:

False. Release time is the point 3 weeks before the developer's estimated date of "This is the fastest we could possibly get it done, but it won't be pretty" when the management has over-promised to the customers and forced us to put something out there.

Lets not forget about the final map pack release for BF3 and a couple days later the release of the BF4 trailer.
Oh, and that you can buy "max level" in BF3 for $40. Pissing off all of us who have worked to get there. As well as making it not fun for the noobs who don't want to pay $40 for the "max level".

Don't even get me started on ME3.

Or i better not, i can't rant and rave about EA right now. I'm in to good of a mood.
I'll just say that letting EA get it's hands on anything is a bad idea.

There's a reason they have won "Worst Company in America" for 2 years straight. Well actually it's because the award is decided by online vote, but you get the point...

Braineack May 7, 2013 12:35 PM

remember when they ditched steam for origin? lol.
