Destiny 2 for PC
 

Anyone planning on starting Destiny 2 up tomorrow? I switched over to PC just before the first one came out so I never got to play it. Hoping to see what the hype is about.

I heard the port sucks and is lacking Content. I played it on xbone and was decent despite the 20fps.

Well thats a bummer. Not surprising about it being a poor port though. Starting to think I should wait this one out and see how it does.

Haha, I should've known that was gonna happen. I'm really not great at PvP games.

Neither am I lol. Just practice. And if I'm not mistaken, PUBGs match making attempts to match the players by rank. So theoretically you should be with other people who suck, and you should never come up against the Dr.


In all honesty I heard about destiny and was going to look into it. But I'm so busy these days. I really only have time for 1 game at a time.

I'll be playing it. Big PVP player here and usually I get pretty competitive in games.

I've watched a good amount of PUBG on Youtube and I truthfully have wanted to play even knowing I suck at them. Like you, I really only have enough time for 1 game as well. Tried getting more into some older games I bought on sale and wasn't working, so I put some research into Destiny and It seems a decent amount like the Borderlands series which is my favorite so I thought this would be a good one to sink some time into. I may end up wrong, who knows?

If you're on the fence about pubg and don't have 3 other people to play with... Well good luck. It's an extremely frustrating game. But the reward is huge.

I hate the gunplay and the clunkiness so much. It's extremely fun to play with friends, but coming from a competitive FPS background it kills me haha.

Same as it is on here, #1774 on the end if that matters.

Side note: I took a "mental health" day on Tuesday, and fired it up 2 minutes after it opened up in my area and only had a couple of hiccups in 8.5hrs of play. I was super impressed. I'm really into this game.

If anything, after watching some gameplay back to back of PC vs console, D2 almost looks like a PC game that was shittily-ported into console. The difference is not subtle.

Have to agree. I'm generally always a late adopter to games, so generally I'm behind on newest engines, blah blah, etc. I found myself stopping to look around the scenery and really surprised at how great it looks. I'm only running an i5 (ivy bridge) and a GTX1060.

Yeah, watching more reviews and players now. It looks great.
I went ahead and bought it. Will be trying it out in a couple hours.

Are you getting decent framerate? What resolution?
I've an older i7 with a 1060, haven't played yet, didn't want to buy it and end up needing a new card or something.

I have it on PS4. Feels bad when i watch PC gameplay videos.

Your older i7 and 1060 should play it just fine.

Correct about the specs. Admittedly I'm not too critical of those sort of things (generally let the graphics auto detect and run it as-is) , especially since i'm playing with my PC connected to a TV with a lower refresh rate than that of monitors. I haven't seen anything that even remotely resembles screen tearing or struggles with rendering.

So it seems that this is a PC game that was poorly ported to console. lol
It looks and runs fantastic. For the most part i'm locked at 144fps and around 120fps normally. My computer does pump out a boatload of heat playing it though.

I've been invited to two clans now...nothing special I assume they just invited people around them. I'm holding out for the Turbo Kitten clan...so yeah 3 of us is almost enough for a raid, right?
